Little Rainbows Everwhere

Hi there, here I am in your inbox again!

Reflecting back on the summer and the last 18 months, rainbows have been a symbol of hope, thanks, inclusivity, freedom and more. I was honoured to help decorate my local train station with lots of little rainbows as part of their In Bloom competition entry.

The pattern I used was by Kerry Jayne Designs and is a very simple pattern to master. It takes me less than an hour to make one and I must have made about 20 by now! You will see from my social channels that I love rainbow colours from the bright, bold colours to the paler pastel version. I have given them to friends and have one hanging in our porch.

If you haven’t done so already, I highly recommend you have a go at the pattern.

We’ve had a busy week with my three children starting back at school, entering year 3, 5 and 6. I have to choose a secondary school for my daughter by the end of October. I can’t quite believe it has come round so quickly but she’s definitely ready for high school and is excited about her final year at primary school and the new responsibilities she will gain – her own house keys, the chance to go out by herself and getting a mobile phone.

I started in my new part-time role and loved seeing old colleagues and the children I used to teach.

I hope the first few days of September have treated you well.

As always, please share your crochet makes with me on my Facebook page or tag me on Instagram.
